Although “lifetime” warranties sound like the way to go in any situation, the term is nothing more than enticing. When the fine script is read, the consumer will notice that “lifetime” refers to nothing more than the expected lifetime, or shelf-life, of the product at hand. Thus, the manufacturer expects its product to last, without damage, for seven years. Then your “lifetime warranty” is only in effect for seven years.
